Each piece was hand thrown on a wheel, carved, and painted in black underglaze. The woman was hand drawn in charcoal and painted using shades of black underglaze as a kind of watercolor. While the exterior was left raw, the inside of each piece was glazed using two glazes to create a beautiful greenish finish.

In this collection, a busy urban woman runs errands and meets friends for lunch in the chic and architecturally unique neighborhood of Omotesando in Tokyo. The vision for these vessels began with the choice of using a wonderfully groggy clay, which conveys both the density and elegance of this vibrant neighborhood and the women who live there.
